Some of the more roseate sunset pictures from Haiti were all of the same sunset. I swear, that evening while in Haiti... I saw the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. My camera did it injustice. It might not seem all that incredible from my pictures, but it literally took my breath away when I stood there gazing upon it with my own eyes. I really was speechless as I watched it from the balcony of the mission house, staring off at the mountains as the red clouds floated soothingly overhead and the sun slowly set behind them, casting everything in a warm and radiant glow. Stunning.... it was... unimaginably stunning. One of the most beautiful scenes I have ever had the honor and pleasure of being witness to. My accountability partner, Aaron Davis, also had the joy of being there with me on the mission trip and seeing this. When I saw the sunset, he was inside the house and I seriously ran to go get him so I could get back outside faster. We were both standing there practically dancing about in joy at the sight of the magnificant clouds and colors. An unforgettable moment in my life.
I highly doubt I will ever lay my eyes on a more beautiful sunset other than through the lens of someone elses camera. However, this sunset- this sunset was mine to take the shots of. I'm happy with that. I was blessed with the opportunity to capture such aww and wonder, or at least a piece of it such as this.
